Wading Pool
Collaborative Artists' Book with Lynne Huffer
Signed and Numbered Copies Available Now!
 
In Wading Pool, an idyllic moment between two young sisters is threatened by the world outside their backyard wading pool and by the difference between their imagined worlds.  This remembrance of writer Lynne Huffer's childhood is rendered in colorful geometric forms and inventive typography that enliven a two-sided accordion book.  Wading Pool was designed by Jennifer in collaboration with Lynne Huffer, and printed by Yorke.  This archival inkjet book is printed with an Epson Photo R3000 on Somerset Enhanced paper.

Wading Pool is included in the collections of Carleton College, The Center for Book Arts in New York, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Emory University, Greenhills School and Indiana University.

Pink on Pink Solo Exhibition
The Evanston Art Center, Evanston IL
March 15 - April 26 2015

Jennifer received a solo exhibition award from Evanston and Vicinity jurors Allison Peters Quinn, Director of Exhibitions at the Hyde Park Art Center; and Sergio Gomez, Director of 33 Contemporary Gallery and Curator/Director of Exhibitions at the Zhou B. Art Center. Newcity Art recommended the exhibition.

 

Twerks on Paper called "not to be missed"!
Each month, the College Art Association's Committee on Women in the Arts selects the best in feminist art and scholarship.  Jennifer was honored to be included in the list for January 2014.

Jennifer Yorke: Twerks on Paper was on view at Packer Schopf Gallery in Chicago from January 10 through February 15, 2014.
